THETA-resonance photoproduction

Description

Assuming that the recently observed at PETRA and SPEAR THETA(1650)- and THETA'(2100)-states are resonances in the rho0 rho0 system, possibility of their study in the photoproduction process γP→THETA(THETA')p are discussed. The partial widths of decays THETA→rho0 rho0, rho0 γ, γγ as well an the differential cross section dσ/dt in pole approximation with rho0-meson exchange are calculated for the case when the quantum numbers of these resonances are Jsup(PC)=Osp(++). The dependence of differential cross section on the production angle V in c.m.s. at some values of γ-quantum energy starting with the production threshold up to 10 GeV in lab as well as the dependence of the integral cross section on γ-quantum energy in the same energy region are plotted. The case when spin-parity of these resoances are Jsup(P)=2sup(+) is also discussed. The transitionvertex describing THETA→rho0γ decay has in this case three unknown coupling constants
