Nobel lecture: The Discovery of Asymptotic Freedom and the Emergence of QCD – part II

Description

The development of the theory of strong interactions is followed from around 1960 with all the new data available at that time but no theory – to today's description of the strong interaction, Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD), a theory that with one single coupling is describing all strong interactions. In contrast to electromagnetic forces, the strong force increases with distance and energy supported by many experiments over the years 1990-2004.
