Use of the NEMA standard for in-field acceptance testing of scintillation cameras

  • 1. Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Los Angeles (USA)

Description

Although the NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) standard was designed for use only by manufacturers, we have demonstrated the feasibility of users adopting the standard as a method by which they can specify and test the performance of scintillation cameras. This method provides consistent, reproducible, and accurate test results which are accepted by manufacturers
