Immunity impairement and delayed effect of 239Pu in rats
Description
After a single intravenous injection of polymeric 239Pu to Wistar rats (166.5, 55.5 and 18.5 kBq·kg-1 of body mass, the doses absorbed in the skeleton during the period of 365 days being 14.2+-2.7, 3.0+-0.1 and 1.0 respective) a positive correlation was found between the values that characterize the increased, over the control, malignant neoplasm occurrence the humoral and cellular immunity calculated by the immunological indices throughout a one-year period of observation that had preceded the development of tumors
