Specific heat of UO2 and MOX-fuel: A literature review
Description
The report gives a review of the theoretical basis of enthalpy and specific heat and related experimental methods. Highlights of measured values are provided for the data available from UO2, PuO2, and mixed oxide (MOX) fuel, and from gadolinia-doped UO2. The effects of stoichiometry and fission products are briefly discussed on the basis of a few publications. Finally, specific heat correlations are recommended for pure UO2, PuO2 and for MOX fuel.
