Waste management safety studies (PSE - Projekt Sicherheitsstudien Entsorgung)

Description
The research project has the objective of a deeper understanding of the safety aspects of the integrated waste management concept. The project investigates subsystems of the waste management concept, using methods of safety analysis whose development and testing is a major part of the project. It has been initiated by the BMFT in 1977. Heads of the project are Prof. H.W. Levi (Vorsitz), Berlin, Prof. G. Memmert, TU Berlin, Prof. H. Venzlaff, BGR Hannover and Dr. Wingender, NUKEM, Hanau. Seat of the project and its management and staff is the HMI, Berlin. (orig./HP)
Abstract (German)
Das Projekt ist ein Forschungsvorhaben mit dem uebergeordneten Zweck, das Verstaendnis der Sicherheitsaspekte des integrierten Entsorgungskonzepts, das auf der Schliessung des Brennstoffkreislaufs basiert, weiter zu vertiefen und abzusichern. Es hat die Aufgabe, Teilsysteme des Entsorgungskonzepts mit sicherheitsanalytischen Methoden, deren Entwicklung und Erprobung ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Projekts ist, zu untersuchen. Es ist im Jahre 1977 vom BMFT in Auftrag gegeben worden. Das Vorhaben wird geleitet von Prof. H. W. Levi (Vorsitz), Berlin, Prof. G. Memmert, TU Berlin, Prof. H. Venzlaff, BGR Hannover und Dr. Wingender, NUKEM, Hanau. Geschaeftsfuehrende Einrichtung und gleichzeitig Sitz der Projektleitung und seines Stabes ist das HMI in Berlin. (orig./HP)Additional details
