Combined treatment of the common forms of lymphogranulomatosis

Description

A total of 78 patients with generalized stages of lymphogranulomatosis were under observation from 1966 to 1976. The article assesses the immediate and remote results of treatment. The treatment was carried out by using radiation therapy according to a radical programme, poly-and monochemotherapy in different sequence. Relatively high efficacy of the applied methods of treatment was noted. Remissions were obtained in 82 per cent of the patients. The data on the survival rate of patients by years have been presented. The average life span in patients of the 3 B degree was 6.1 years, in patients of the 4 degree - 3.3 years. The importance of prophylactic medical examination of patients is stressed
