Dimensional measurements of Petten calibration pin

One of the tasks chosen by the Euratom Neutron Radiography Working Group is to determine the dimensional measurement accuracy obtainable with the neutron cameras and scanning equipment at their disposal. As a starting point for this task, a simple calibration pin with accurately known axial dimensions was made. This calibration pin, Petten Calibration Pin (PCP), was radiographed at the facility employing track-etch film, copies of the original film made, each copy separately measured in Petten and then sent to the members of the Working Group for dimensional evaluations using their respective measuring equipment.
