Description

This publication first proposed a quantitative assessment of actions undertaken by the ASN in Normandy in 2015, provides a global opinion of the ASN on nuclear safety and radiation protection in this region, and gives a brief presentation of the ASN. Then, it proposes an overview of the activity of control of different activities performed in basic nuclear installations in Normandy in 2015. These activities and installations were: the La Hague Areva reprocessing plant, Flamanville with the EPR construction works, nuclear plants (Flamanville, Paluel, Penly), the ANDRA's Manche storage centre, the GANIL research centre, and the Brennilis nuclear plant with its dismantling operations. The next part proposes an overview of actions of control of proximity nuclear in the cases of radiotherapy, of interventional radiology; of computed radiography, of nuclear medicine departments, of industrial radiography, and of polluted sites and soils. The control of the transport of radioactive substances is then briefly addressed. The last part addresses the fifth campaign of information and distribution of iodine pills at the vicinity of nuclear plants
