- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (USSR). Inst. Geokhimii i Analiticheskoj Khimii
Description
Mass-spectrometric installation designed to determine chemical composition of Venus cloud veil set on the launching vehicle of VEGA-1 automatic space station is described. Spectrometric installation consists of a sampler, air filter system, collector-pyrolyzer and three-dimensional trap type hyperboloid mass-spectrometer. Great attention was paid to reduction of background signal, it has allowed to obtain ∼1016 dynamic range at 5x10-12 Torr threshold sensitivity
