Stability against the frictional motion of conductor in superconducting windings
Description
The authors performed an experiment to investigate quenches of superconducting wires caused by conductor motions. In the paper, the authors measured disturbance energies of conductor motions causing quenches. Experimental data are compared to the values derived from the theory which quantitively estimate the size of the conductor motion. The theory well explains the experimental data
