Nonlinear dynamics of particle-like solutions of inhomogeneous fields
- 1. Inst. of Applied Physics, Academy of Sciences, Gor'kij (USSR)
Description
Stable localized structures of two- and three-dimensional fields are investigated. A theory describing the interaction of the ''elementary particles'' and the formation of their bound states is constructed for scalar real and scalar complex fields. Three types of elementary structures: a ball, a torus and a baseball are revealed for the real fields. Localized spirals and toroidal rolls are the elementary structures of the complex fields.
