Description
Objective: To investigate the significance of determination of the changes in serum level of CXCL10 in the patients with Graves' disease after radioactive iodine(131I) therapy. Methods: Level of serum CXCL10 in the patients with Graves disease, the cured patients treated with 131I and compared to the normal control group. Serum CXCL10 level was measured by ELISA. The relationship among CXCL10, free triiodothyronine(FT3) and free thyroxine(FT4), then made an analysis statistically. Results: The level of CXCL10 in patients with Graves' disease expressed significantly higher than that in the normal control(P < 0.05), meanwhile, CXCL10 in the cured patients decreased significantly(P < 0.05); and CXCL10 was positively correlated with FT3 and FT4 (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The level of CXCL10 was correlated with function of thyroid, CXCL10 might be a valuable indicant to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Graves' disease after 131I treatment. (authors)
