Incomplete fusion and nuclear equation of state
Description
A microscopic model based on the molecular dynamics concept was applied to study linear momentum transfer in nuclear reactions for a range of incident energies and several systems. It appears that this quantity is sensitive to the incompressibility of nuclear matter. The comparison of the model calculation with a substantial body of data favors a soft equation of state (K=200 MeV). (orig.)
