Description
Following the success in separating, by means of two, three-dimensional stability diagrams, 2022 experimentally known binary systems into compound-forming and non-compound forming systems, and the separation of 3046 AB, AB2, AB3 and A3B5 compounds into distinct structure type spaces with four isostoichiometric structural stability diagrams, the author has shown that simple expressions of tabulated element properties are able to describe the alloying behaviour of binary systems. Separation was possible with an overall accuracy of 97%. (Auth.)
