Description

The new sensitivity analysis tools, using a generalized perturbation approach with a discrete ordinate transport calculation method, have been applied to the 4S core in a two-dimensional RZ geometry model. Cross section sensitivity coefficients are compared with those from the conventional method. Through those comparisons, the results have shown that application of the new sensitivity calculation tools are efficient in order to reduce uncertainties in the sensitivity and uncertainty (S and U) analyses of the 4S core.
