Description

The basic principles of x-ray spectra and those of measuring methods concerning diffraction and energy selective analysis by means of scintillation and ionization detectors are reviewed. The energy spectra of x-ray tubes in the function of the tube voltage and the applied absorbers were determined by means of both a Bragg spectrometer constructed by the authors and a semiconductor detector system. The results revealed the significance of the proper selection of the absorbers to reduce radiation burden of the patients. (V.N.)
