Application of X-ray techniques for the determination of vertical paper filler distribution

  • 1. Technical Research Centre of Finland, Espoo (Finland). Reactor Lab.

Description

This paper describes principles and feasibility studies of a method which enables even on-line determination and thus control of vertical distribution and content of filler materials in paper using X-ray techniques. The method is much faster than the ones presently used in paper industry and offers potential for considerable technical and economical benefits. (author). 1 ref., 3 figs
