Postmortem computed tomography in 360 deceased individuals. Postmortem findings and influence of cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • 1. Niigata City General Hospital, Niigata, Niigata (Japan)

Description

Postmortem characteristic findings and influence of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, such as intravascular gas, sedimentation within the heart and major vessels, internal hypostasis within lungs, and hyperattenuating aortic wall, are frequently presented on postmortem computed tomography. We have to be well aware of these findings and should not diagnose them as lethal damages. (author)
