Evaluation of the scattered exposure rate at the entrance of a maze in an industrial radiography enclosure housing 192Ir and 60Co sources

Description
The scattered exposure rate at the door of a typical existing open top enclosure due to 192Ir and 60Co sources each of 3.7 TBq (100 Ci) exposed at a particular location inside it have been calculated by using basic scattering calculations and semi empirical albedo method. The results are compared with each other and with the measured values. The simpler method using albedo factor has been found to be quicker and convenient for day to day calculations.
