The United States freeze an agreement on civil nuclear energy with Russia

The government of the United States has decided to withdraw the Russian-American agreement project from the agenda of the congress because of the Russian-Georgian conflict. The purpose of this agreement was to draw a legal framework for promoting and developing pacific uses of nuclear energy worldwide while reinforcing the Russian and American authority concerning the prevention of nuclear proliferation.
