The United States freeze an agreement on civil nuclear energy with Russia

Description
The government of the United States has decided to withdraw the Russian-American agreement project from the agenda of the congress because of the Russian-Georgian conflict. The purpose of this agreement was to draw a legal framework for promoting and developing pacific uses of nuclear energy worldwide while reinforcing the Russian and American authority concerning the prevention of nuclear proliferation. The Russian government said it regretted the American decision. (A.C.)
