Effect of 2p2h correlations in ground state on M1 resonance in 208Pb

Description
Distribution of M1-excitation probabilities in208Pb at low energies is calculated within the framework of a microscopic model of accounting 1p1hx phonon type configurations. It is shown that 2p-2h-correlations in the basic state, occuring due to quasiparticle -phonon interaction, notably effect the B(M1)max value and M1-resonance width in 208Pb
