Investigation of reactivity of neptunoyl-ions to inorganic free radicals by pulse radiolysis method

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Fizicheskoj Khimii

Description

Using the method of pulse radioysis (electron energy is 5 MeV, pulse duration is 2.3 μs), reaction rate constants of OH, HSO4, NO3 and Cl2- radicals with neptunoyl-ions are measured. No change in NO3- and H+ ion concentration affects the value of the reaction rate constant k (NO3+NpO2+), whereas k (Cl2-+NpO2+) increases with the increase in chloride-ion concentration at the expense of chlorocomplexe formation by neptunoyl-ion
