Basic indicators of red and brown mud evaluation for potential utilization

Description
The paper deals with evaluation of basic indicators of red and brown mud like pH, density, particle size distribution, dry matter, loss of ignition as well as elemental analyses. Comparing our results with literature data shows various composition of mud in individual regions and parts of world. It is caused mainly by composition of bauxite which was used in Al2O3 production. It is obvious that mud composition disposed on landfills is changing relating to time by leaching with precipitations. (authors)
