Study on molybdenum wire mechanical properties in dependence of structural state

Description

Mechanical properties of molybdenum wire 0.2 and 0.5 mm in diameter in different structural states (deformed, annealed) at room temperature have been studied. The state of molybdenum wire surface is also studied and it is shown that it can affect significantly its mechanical characteristics. It is shown that coating with rhenium heptaoxide and intermediate annealing at 850 deg C of molybdenum mch wire 0.2 mm in diameter promotes improvement of the wire mechanical properties
