Effect of atomic ordering on structure formation for a nickel alloy with high chromium content

An attempt is made in the present work to use atomic ordering in order to improve the morphology of phases based on chromium during creation of a high-strength nickel alloy with an atomic proportion of chromium greater than 30 at .%. Experimental alloys of the Ni-Cr-MoAl-Ti system were used in the experiments. Quantitative phase, microstructural, electron probe and electron microscope methods were used in this study. Ordering treatment makes it possible to control the distribution and dispersion of strengthening phasing in hightemperature nickel-chromium alloys with chromium content and this makes it possible to use the phase based on chromium as a strengthener in addition to gamma'-phase. As a result of high thermal stability of strengthening phases, after this ordering heat-treatment, high values of long-term strength are achieved
