Estimation of radiation fields at high energy proton accelerators
Description
Experimental and theoretical results, for a proton energy range of 1 Gev to 1 Tev, are reviewed and are used to develop procedures for the estimation of the following quantities: dose equivalent behind lateral concrete shielding, neutron fluence behind lateral concrete shielding, dose equivalent behind lateral iron shielding, neutron fluence and absorbed dose in the accelerator tunnel, and dose rate as a result of induced radioactivity.
