On the neutron EDM search in the Laue diffraction by the crystal without a centre of symmetry
Description
A new method of neutron electric dipole moment (EDM) searching is proposed. It is based on the spin dependence of the pendelous phase of a neutron diffracted by the noncentrosymmetric crystal. A two-crystal set up is proposed and analyzed to get the big enough luminosity. With the strong interplanar electric field of the crystal and the sufficiently long time of the neutron passage through the crystals for the Bragg angles close to π/2 it makes possible to exceed the sensitivity achieved with the ultra cold neutron method. 15 refs.; 5 figs.; 1 tab
