Analytical criteria of estimating wear resistance of materials

An estimation is given to analytical dependences of wear resistance of structural materials. Methodical complications of application of these relationships are shown on steels types 45, 40Kh, KN12 etc, takes an examples. It is noted that wear resistance estimation using available analytical approaches is not trustworthy. 23 refs
