Transportation of ion beam in high-gradient accelerating tube

Description

Envelopes of ion beam for different energies, masses and initial entrance conditions in the high-gradient accelerating tube were calculated. Space-charge effect of ion beam was also considered. Some important factors directly influencing the focusing properties of the accelerating tube were discussed. The calculated results are in agreement with the practical situation
