About a configuration interdiction in β radioactivity
Creators
- 1. Service de Physique mathematique, Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique (France)
Description
As a previous systematic study of β disintegration of odd-even nuclei had shown that some specific transitions which seemed to be forbidden by something else than rules of selection of spin and parity, the authors discuss, comment and explain those observations. They develop a model of independent particles for the nucleus. This model is used to determine proton and neutron configurations. Reprint of a paper published in 'Journal de Physique et le Radium', t. 13, Jun 1952, p. 370-371.
