Electroweak interactions, compositeness, W-dominance and anomalous Z decays

  • 1. University of Bielefeld, Dept. of Theoretical Physics (Germany, F.R.)

Description

We review the phenomenological implications of a concept of compositeness, in which the short range weak interactions of leptons and quarks are treated in close analogy to the short range strong interactions between hadrons. The standard neutral current structure and vector boson mass relations appear as low energy dynamical approximations. The anomalous Z decays are interpreted as first evidence for an extended structure of the weak bosons
