Conservation of nuclear electromagnetic current and calculation of the 3He(γ-vector,p)d reaction cross sections
Description
The cross sections of the 3He(γ-vector, p)d reaction are calculated at photon energies from the giant resonance to 300 MeV. Parametrized versions of the Faddeev wave function of the 3He nucleus for the Reid soft core potential are used. Contributions are studied to be introduced to the process by mesonic exchange currents (MEC). MEC modifications are treated to be caused by nucleon finite size and constraints imposed by nuclear current continuity equation. The results are compared with new data obtained recently at the Kharkov linac
