Soft and semihard pp and anti pp elastic scattering in a wide energy range
Description
Experimental data on pp and anti pp elastic scattering at energies from 9 to 630 GeV and squares of transferred momenta from 0 to 10 GeV2 are described in a model with logarithmic growth of cross-sections and slope parameters B(s, t). Crossing-odd effects in soft (vertical stroketvertical stroke< or approx.0.6 GeV2) and semihard (1< or approx.vertical stroketvertical stroke< 10 GeV2) scattering are analysed. A better description of the data is attained when a negative odderon contribution to Re Asub(anti p)p(s, 0) is assumed. It is revealed that the even component of the amplitude plays a dominant role in semihard scattering. (orig.)
