Determination of gallium in uranium - gallium mixture by voltammetry using glassy carbon electrode

Description
Studies on the determination of gallium were carried out in synthetic mixture of uranium - gallium containing about 90% of uranium. Cation exchange resin, Dowex 50W x 8, in HCl medium was employed for separation of Ga from uranium. The separated gallium was determined using Rotating Disc Electrode Voltammetry (RDV). An overall accuracy of about 5% is achieved at about 1mg level. (author)
