Calculation of the activity induced in the swimming pool type reactor water with ascending flow in the core

Description

Reactor coolant induced activity is strongly dependent on the coolant material composition. In water cooled reactors, such activity is due, mainly, to the 16 O(n,p)16 N and 17 O(n,p)17 N reactions. In this work a model is presented for estimating the water average specific induced activities in ascending flow across the core. (author) 4 refs., 4 tabs
