Structure peculiarities and physical properties of Nb-Al alloys and Nb3Al compound

Description
Nine alloys of Nb-Al system with Al content from 2.5 to 22.5 at.% and Nb3Al compound massive samples were investigated. In the latter crystal structure defects affecting the superconductivity critical parameters are determined. Homogeneous decomposition followed by precipitation of Nb3Al coherent particles is detected in Nb-20 at.%Al alloy aged after quenching
