Electron gun filament supply

  • 1. Oak Ridge National Lab., Tenn. (USA)

Description

The heater supply and accelerating supply for an electron gun designed to operate between 0.1 and 1.0 eV are described. The circuit is designed to minimize internal resistance drops and magnetic fields which would cause energy spread or deflection in the electron beam. The simple circuit design is based on classic techniques and the constant voltage characteristics of Zener diodes. (B.D.)
