Generation of large angular momentum in nuclei

Description

Angular momentum can be generated in a nuclear system through several modes of excitations. Basic among them are single particle and collective modes. In the former case, the energy levels are irregularly spaced and the static and dynamic quadrupole moments values are very small. Some of these features which have already been studied by us would be discussed in some details and the possibility of further studies using large Clover-Arrays will be indicated
