The "Safe from the ground up" information campaign in Baden-Württemberg

Description

The new requirements of the Radiation Protection Act of 2018 for protection against radon also entail the obligation of the federal states to inform the population in an appropriate manner on this topic. The public relations measures differ considerably between the federal states. Baden-Württemberg has implemented an extensive, target-group-specific campaign in 2019 to 2020 in collaboration with the authors, with the slogan "Safe from the ground up." The general population, employers, construction industry and authorities are addressed with a wide range of target group-specific information offers and successfully sensitized to the new requirements in connection with protection against radon and the designation of radon precautionary areas.

Abstract (German)

Die neuen Anforderungen des Strahlenschutzgesetzes von 2018 zum Schutz vor Radon bedingen auch die Pflicht der Bundesländer, die Bevölkerung in geeigneter Weise zu diesem Thema zu unterrichten. Die Maßnahmen der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit unterscheiden sich zwischen den Bundesländern erheblich. Baden-Württemberg hat 2019 bis 2020 in Zusammenarbeit mit den Autoren eine umfangreiche, zielgruppenspezifische Kampagne mit dem Slogan "Von Grund auf sicher" umgesetzt. Die allgemeine Bevölkerung, Arbeitgeber, Bauwirtschaft und Behörden werden mit einem breiten Spektrum von zielgruppenspezifischen Informationsangeboten angesprochen und erfolgreich für die neuen Anforderungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Schutz vor Radon und der Ausweisung von Radon-Vorsorgegebieten sensibilisiert.
