Role of direct processes in the analysis and evaluation of neutron inelastic scattering cross sections
Creators
Description
The main features of inelastic neutron scattering excitation functions and their connections with optical model parameters are analyzed. It is shown that the direct processes are to be taken into account both for the description of excitation functions and of hard spectra observed in neutron inelastic scattering reactions. The methods of including such processes in the evaluation of neutron nuclear data are discussed
