The 14N(p,n)14O threshold energy and the Q-value for the superallowed Fermi decay 14O(β+)14N*
Description
An accurate measurement of the threshold energy for the reaction 14N(p,n)14O has been made. The value found, 6353.6+-0.40 keV, is lower than but compatible with the previous most accurate measurement. Together with the known excitation energy of the 14N 0+ state this result yields a value of 1808.7+-0.4 keV for the 14O(β+)14N* Q-value. (Auth.)
