Method for evaluation of probability of nuclear power plant accidents with radiation release

Description

Problems which should be solved in determining radiative risk due to disturbances at nuclear power plants, have been described. It is shown, that the problem solution is possible only when reliable data on the probability of arising initial disturbances and of failure of system elements, in particular, safety systems and equipment protection can be obtained. The basis for determining failure degree or obtained indications on probability of failure is the taking account of all the disturbances, accuring at nuclear power plants independent of their effect on the arrangement of nuclear power plant systems
