The CdCl2-CrCl3 system

Description

The CdCl2-CrCl3 system has been studied by diffe--rential thermal analysis and microhardness measurements. Results on the interaction between the components and the degenerate eutectic phase diagram of the system are reported. The phase diagram contains a lamination region at 8-34 mass.% CrCl3. The monotectic equilibrium CrCl3 + liq1 reversible liq2 is observed at 985+-5 deg C
