CP violation in atoms and nuclei

Creators

  • 1. Univ. of Melbourne (Australia)

Description

Our present understanding of CP violation is severely limited by the existence of observations of the effect in only the K0L decay to two pions. With just two (complex) observables to fit, ε and ε' is not surprising that there are a plethora of theories which are able to fit the data. I will discuss the possibilities for discrimination between these theories provided by the electric dipole moments of nucleons, nuclei and atoms
