Energy use in Australia in an international perspective

Description

A study, conducted by the International Energy Agency for the Department of Industry, Science and Resources indicates that large parts of the Australian economy's energy performance stand up well to international comparison. The study find out that there was a high level of growth in energy use in Australia over the period 1974-75 and 1994-95 , resulting from rapid growth in transport, commercial and residential activities as well as some structural changes in some energy-intensive manufacturing industries
