Investigation of nanocrystalline ceria by temperature programmed reduction
- 1. Materials Science Div., Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam (India)
Description
Nanocrystalline ceria synthesized by different methods, to control the particle size and their distribution, was investigated by temperature programmed reduction using an in-house built TGA-EGA-MS system. Typical TPR features like lowering of peak temperature and variation in weight change owing to the nanocrystalline nature of the material were clearly discerned. In addition, a low temperature twin peak due to two distinct sites available for water adsorption was also observed and explained. (author)
