Characteristics of rewetting and transient heat transfer during spray cooling of hot surface

  • 1. Saga Univ., Saga (Japan)

Description

An experimental study has been done to elucidate effects of mass flux G, degree of subcooling ΔTsub, initial solid temperature Tb0 and thermal properties of test liquid and hot block on wetting temperature during spray cooling of a hot block. Wetting and quenching temperatures which correspond to the MHF point and sudden drop in surface temperature during transient transition boiling region were evaluated and categorized with GΔTsub.
