Description

Here, we present a two-step growth using template and selective method for ultra long nano wire of crystalline Cd(OH)2 covered by Cd Te on glass at low temperature. This simple method involving controlled chemical precipitation based on principals of ionic and solubility products. The structural, surface morphological and optical studied were performed for as-deposited films. X-ray diffraction analysis from Cd Te thin films indicated that this films have both phases of hexagonal related to Cd Te and Cd(OH)2. UV-Vis transmission spectrum of the smooth-surfaced Cd Te nano cables (Cd(OH)2 nano wires covered by Cd Te) revels that Cd Te film has low transmittance in visible region about 26percent. Also the morphology of Cd(OH)2 and Cd Te thin films were studied by field emission scanning microscopy.
