Activity of DNA depolymerases in the rat spleen after the Cosmos-605 flight
Description
Biological effects of space flight factors (weightlessness, cosmic radiation) were studied. The activity of DNA catabolism enzymes (acidic and alkaline DN-ases) was determined in the spleen of rats after 22-day flight on ''Kosmos-605'' space-ship. Alkaline DN-ase activity remained unchanged while the activity of acidic DN-ase grew more than twice. 26 days after the flight acidic DN-ase activity returned to normal. Measurements of DNA intrinsic viscocity showed that activation of the enzyme was not accompanied by DNA fragmentation
